Description

The St Agnes distillery is Australia’s oldest continuously run, family owned brandy distillery. St Agnes XO Platinum is double distilled in heritage copper Pot Stills with only the heart of the second distillation retained and matured in small oak casks for many years. A unique blend of very old XO cuvée that have been aged in the cool cellars of the St Agnes barrel halls resulting in spirit of richness, complexity, luxury and refinement.

Golden amber in colour. Citrus blossom aromas upfront opening up into notes of sherry, roasted nuts, cedar shavings with hints of honey, maple syrup, chocolate and some spice. The aroma opens up with greater time in the glass. On the palate some spice and pepper heat initially, mellowed by French oak intensity that fills the mid palate. Caramel and medium toffee flavours straight up, developing into walnut and raisin. Vanillin length and finishing clean and smooth. A spirit that is more complex and pure than standard XO.
